About Our Community

Maria Magdalena Reformed Church is a bilingual, multiethnic community located in Sioux Center, Iowa.

Mission and Vision

Our Mission

Our mission at Maria Magdalena is to break down walls of division that separate us from one another and separate us from God. We faithfully follow Jesus’ call to share the gospel through multiethnic, multilingual worship as a reflection of the diversity of God’s creation.

Our Vision

To be an outward facing worshiping community that seeks the flourishing of our members and our community in Jesus Christ.

Our Story

After an inspiring visit to a multi-ethnic, bilingual, Presbyterian church in Kansas City, Jason and Martha felt called to explore ways of bringing their diverse community together as a body of Christ. They gathered a team of six to engage in their community through bringing cultures, languages, and ethnicities together for worship. The Holy Spirit was on the move before them, leading the way, and inspiring others to join in the work of sharing the gospel, making disciples, and embracing the work of reconciliation.

Worship With Us

We meet for fellowship and worship at 10:30 am Central Time every Sunday. All are welcome!
We are located in the old bank building in the center of town: 303 N Main Ave, Sioux Center, Iowa.
